Brenda’s Breakfast Biscuits
I have decided to make a comeback with my cooking and baking sharing my Breakfast Biscuits. Although, I swore off not to make anything in my outdated, worn-out kitchen. But even though the kitchen remodel is still on my To-Do list, I thought I would start sharing some of my kitchen endeavors and favorite recipes anyway.

Maybe you saw I posted a fun birthday cake vlog at the beginning of this year, which I made in my mom’s kitchen. I had such fun doing it that my enthusiasm for cooking and baking had returned.
Anyway, I thought I would start with some simple things until I have my kitchen done and my breakfast biscuits are quite simple. I don’t think there is much that can go wrong here if you follow my recipe.
My Breakfast Biscuits Ingredients
- 1 cup (250g) “all purpose” flour
- 2 tsps baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tbsp confectioners sugar
- 4 tbsps (110g) unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
Easy Recipe
Combine all the dry ingredients, add butter and combine until you get a crumbly mixture. Add buttermilk and work out a sticky ball, then place the ball on the floured board and gently fold the dough over and over until it is not sticky anymore.
Then roll it out and cut out your circles. I use plain glass instead of the cutter. Place them on a lined baking sheet and put in the preheated oven at 180°C/ 360°F for about 12 minutes.
And you are done! Takes so much less effort if you don’t have to film it 🙂
